Geography
Afyon Karahisar province, which is one of the 81 provinces of the Republic of Turkey, is located in the middle of the Anatolian peninsula, close to the west, and in the inner part of the Aegean Region. It is a threshold and a gateway of the Central Anatolian plateau opening to the Aegean shores. It is surrounded by the cities of Eskişehir, Konya, Isparta, Denizli, Uşak and Kütahya. It is considered to be both Central Anatolia and the Aegean Region with its plains decreasing as it stretches from the North East to the South West. From the border of Eskişehir in the North to the border of Denizli in the South, its length from North East to South West is 210 kilometers. Eni, on the other hand, is 112 kilometers from the North West to the South East, from the Kütahya border to the Isparta border. It thins towards Denizli and decreases to 20 kilometers in width, it is in a piece.

Its area is 14,555 square kilometers. This width is 2% compared to the surface area of Turkey. Its borders are mostly bordered by mountains.
